paperghostI've been snowed in for 4 days in a row, 2 being days I was supposed to work. But I can't go to work when there's ice on the road. I'm absolutely not complaining that the storm hasn't been hectic for me. The power has stayed on, the temperature is cold but I've just worn multiple pairs of shirts/socks indoors and sleep with 2-3 blankets. I did have to stomach a "Cuban style" (lol) shower and washed my hair in cold water this morning, but it surprisingly became slightly warm and bearable.
My paycheck drops tomorrow, and I'm very likely going to work. My household needs to get groceries. When I go back to work, I'm probably going to request my schedule for the next 2 weeks be rearranged, since I missed half of this week's and I'm worried about my paycheck. Fingers are crossed that I'll get hazard pay, but I doubt it!!!

Hopefully I will get back to "long form" or "high effort" forms of creativity than doomscrolling and venting. The last 2 years have been just, really really bad. Ideally I should have Capy stickers printed by TFF in March.
I also want to bring my Ivy shrine back, but redo it. I think I'm going to have to go for an iframe if/when I make a new layout. I really didn't want to do this, but I have so much canon info and official art I want to store :( But I'll cross that bridge when it happens.

An 11. Wow, I really ended up on a PTW tile anyway... #95 which is Night of the Reaper.

A 10, prompt: weapon on the cover. Coherence. Technically it's an eating utensil but a knife is a knife.

A 3 and of course it's one before the end, sigh. Prompt: family. Quest for Camelot (rewatch). I'm really sick and this challenge didn't help. I'm done.

commis (kaw-MEE, kuh-MEE) - n., an assistant chef.
Often one who is still in training, either as part of an internship or as a new grad. (Formerly, also, a deputy or clerk for an official, but that's an obsolete sense.) Like most of this week, it's from French, from the past participle of commettre, to commit/entrust, from Latin committere, to commit in the senses of entrust/begin/perpetrate/pledge (but not imprison), from com-, together + mittere, send.

A 4, prompt: supernatural element. I'll go ahead and do more Babanba Banban Vampire because what was that cliffhanger.

A 10, oldest on list. If I'm just looking at my CW list, that would be Digimon Adventure, specifically 02. It's a little confusing because of the weird tracking on my part, plus my last entries in 2010 stopped at the end area of the first series. *shrug* I'll just start watching where I last tracked for 02 and wish for the best. I actually think I remember that I stopped around where Kaiser's digimon helped the 'digidestined' to try and help Ken change?

A 3, prompt: isekai. I had to pick from my PTW list and I agonized and removed a couple 'why is this even here' things before realizing that I could finally just watch the next season of My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!!

A 4, and I'm taking a chance and using my skill to land me on the generate from PTW tile. A #40 which isss Bikkuriman! I'll write more on what I know of it when I watch it.

...Are you kidding me. A 10 which is RIGHT BEFORE the finish. Prompt: historical. Legend of Exorcism. The next roll was a 6 but I will not be choosing a reward since there were so many anime this time. I'm going back to blowing my nose and being miserable now.

rebrand progress
Jan. 25th, 2026 01:03 pmpaperghostSo... I'm very close to my rebrand. I'm iced in, missed work today, and there's been no power outages in my county. I'm thankful I'm in the privileged end of this storm, but despite having so much free time and freedom, I just can't focus to have fun or do my "work". It's really frustrating me. Even when I was a NEET during my early-mid 20s I had this problem even on high dosages of Wellbutrin. I was more productive when I was unemployed in 2024 because I was in a relationship... go figure. Now my brain is just a cheap dopamine-seeking ping pong ball.
I'm chipping at my first rune of 2026, and it goes from humorous to sad. I shouldn't get into how my only relationship fucked me up, but I'm just... distraught how I wasted the last 7 years of my life on a lie. But I shouldn't write about that on a public "entertainment/portfolio" website. So I'm just cutting this melodramatic bullshit.
